The Lewin Group prepared this report for MedCath to determine how cardiac care services provided in MedCath heart hospitals compare on measures of patient severity, quality and community impact to cardiac services provided in peer hospitals across the country that perform open-heart surgery. The report follows a similar Lewin Group study a year ago, providing the beginnings of trend data.
