Services, Programs, and Special Features Heart care will always be at the core of what we do best … we are undeniably the finest cardiac care facility in the North Shore region, but we are so much more than that. We're an acute care facility with special emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease as well as disease and injury affecting the spine. Our modern, 58-bed hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, and a 24-hour heart attack intervention center. Our facility was designed to provide the best possible setting for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and spine injuries. Each physician, every staff member, and all of our technological resources are dedicated to delivering the best in patient care.
A Better Facility There are many things that set us apart from other healthcare providers, but none more so than the hospital, itself. It is a world-class facility designed by the physicians who practice here to help make patients and their families as comfortable as possible, while providing caregivers with the tools they need to give outstanding care.
Patient Focused Care Louisiana Medical Center & Heart Hospital provides for patients first. The comfort of our patients and their families, along with advanced diagnosis, treatment and therapy are the most important objectives of the Louisiana Medical Center & Heart Hospital. Louisiana Medical Center & Heart Hospital is built for patient-focused care. Our patients have access to advanced technology and surgical techniques in a hospital specially designed for their treatment and recovery. From admission until discharge, patient care focuses on personal needs, comfort and convenience.
All of our patient rooms are private and have been equipped to meet the special needs of heart patients. Because we believe the family plays a major role in recovery, we provide family members 24 hour access to the patient, even following surgery. A sleeper bed for overnight visitors has been provided in every room.
Care teams are assigned at admission and follow the patient throughout their stay, promoting bonding and continuity of care. This highly trained staff improves efficiency and allows us to reduce redundant positions while putting more resources into patient care.
Better Technology Aside from the physical design of our hospital, we have also invested in the most modern, technologically advanced equipment today.
